10 Ayurvedic Remedies For Common Health Issues

Ayurveda is about a 3-5 thousand years old medical treatment system of healing body and soul. It originated in ancient India and still practiced successfully. Ayurvedic treatment involves herbs, minerals and some metals. Here are some simple Ayurvedic/homemade solutions for some common health problems that you can try at home safely and enjoy good health.

Flu and Bad Throat Remedy: Ayurvedic remedies  For this treatment you will need honey and ginger. Mix equal quantities of honey and ginger juice thoroughly. Take 1 tea spoon 3-times a day. It will not only remove the mucus but relieve common cold, cough and bad throat.

Dry Cough Treatment: Ayurvedic remediesTo fight dry cough take 6-8 dates and a half liter milk. Remove the seeds and boil the dates with milk over low heat for 20-25 minutes. Drink 2 cups of the beverage a day. It will treat your dry cough effectively.

Ayurvedic Cough Syrup:Ayurvedic remedies To make this cough syrup you need 6 medium size onions and 6 table spoons of honey. Peel and chop the onions. Put it in a pot and add honey to it.  Cover it well and leave the pot in a water bath, over low heat, for 2 hours. Strain the mixture and take a tea spoon every four hours.

Indigestion and Constipation: Beet is one of the best natural remedy for indigestion and chronic constipation. Taking a half cup of baked or steamed beet before breakfast improves digestion and bowl movement.

Acidity and Ulcers:Ayurvedic remedies Basil leaves fight against acidity and help the body to absorb food. It cures acid reflux as well. Chew few basil leaves after meals and get rid of heart burn and prevent ulcers. Potato juice cures acidity too. Sucking a clove after a meal can also help to prevent acidity.

Prevent Anemia and General Weakness:Ayurvedic remedies Make a fine paste of 3-4 dates with milk and a little desi ghee in it. Eating this mixture will work wonders for anemic people.
