Today I am going to tell you about a great homemade immune boosting and healing mixture of Milk and Turmeric known as Turmeric Milk, Golden Milk.

Turmeric milk is a great health tonic consumed by thousands of people every day. Milk enhances the healing properties of turmeric and benefits physical and mental health. It relieves pain and headache instantly. It cures cough and cold. Turmeric milk induces a sound sleep if taken before going to bed. It reduces arthritic pain. It improves reproductive health of women.
How to prepare turmeric milk
Turmeric milk is more beneficial if made with full cream milk, as the milk fat helps to absorb the useful constituents of the turmeric.
Ingredients you need to prepare Golden Milk with turmeric powder
1 tsp turmeric
2 cups milk
½ cup water
3-4 black peppercorns
¼ tsp of ginger powder/A small piece of peeled fresh ginger
¼ tsp of cinnamon powder/A small piece of cinnamon
Warm the mixture of milk and water over medium heat. Add turmeric and ginger to warm milk. Let it bubble over low heat for 7-10 minutes. It will reduce the milk to 2 cups. Pour it into cups and sprinkle crushed black pepper and cinnamon over it. Stir it well and drink it hot to warm.
Honey, sugar or maple juice can also be added to overcome the earthly taste of the spice.
