With winter approaching, it’s time to start ensuring that you’re stocked up with cold and flu-fighting homemade remedies. Of course, rest is the main thing to recover from any illness but keeping your body full of immune-boosting foods is also mandatory. But, of course, as the temperature falls, we need something warming and soothing, so here I am sharing some of our best hot drinks that are delicious and good for your well-being.

HOT WATER AND LEMON AND GINGER
Hot lemon water is a great drink that we should consume in the morning irrespective of the season because of its immune-boosting abilities. The addition of ginger can make the drink even tastier and healthier too.

It’s easy to prepare, put the kettle on, fill up your chosen mug and add a couple of slices of lemon and ginger. In case of a scratchy throat, a drizzle of honey will help too. Sip this magical tonic and feel rapidly cured.

TURMERIC LATTE
The turmeric latte is a well known hot drink for its benefits. However, turmeric really is one of the best herbs for you and should be included in your diet for winter.
To prepare a turmeric latte, simply add some turmeric powder to milk and let it simmer over low heat for 5-7 minutes. For extra flavor and nutrition, a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg can also be added. Finally, you can add maple syrup to make the drink sweet and coconut oil for some richness.

FRESH MINT TEA
Mint tea is a tonic for the digestive system and cures nausea. It is really delicious.
To make mint tea: Wash fresh leaves of spearmint, peppermint, or even chocolate mint. Put them in boiling water and let them simmer for 2-3 minutes. The drink is ready.

Almond milk is lower in calories, lactose-free, and free of saturated fats.
